Mission of the Pontiac Job Search CLUB (CREP)

The CREP is a non-profit organization.  Its main objective is to develop employability by favouring the integration of individuals in the workforce based on their aspirations and personal needs.

Youth employment marketplace - 16-35 years old
Employment assistance service - 36 - 55 years old

These two programs aim at improving living condition of adults between the ages of 16 and 55.  It provides assistance in seeking employment, support for the return to studies and an increased awareness of entrepreneurial realities.  It also offers professional information  and job placement services

Woodland Advantage

The main objective of this venture is to give work experience to young adults by developing good working habits and acquiring transferable skills for the labour market.  Woodland Advantage offers services related to the forestry and woodworking sectors.

Solidarité Jeunesse

The Solidarité Jeunesse offers young adults under the age of 21 (first time Social Assistance applicants), the opportunity to commit themselves to a personal reflection and orientation period.  The goal is to bring them closer to a social and professional path.  Another objective would be to prevent reliance and long term Social Assistance dependency.

Place for Youth

Place for Youth is a program that invites young people to build their future in the Pontiac.  It is aimed at students coming from the Pontiac, who exile themselves to finish studies and to diploma holders from the Pontiac, ready to enter the workforce.

The Pontiac Job Search Club (CREP) has a documentation centre pertaining to the labour market and to entrepreneurs.  Furthermore, the Community Access Centre has four computers available to the Pontiac population where they can access free of charge the world wide web.
